I’ve always been an on-the-go mom who loves getting out of the house and finding fun things to do. However, last summer with newborn twins there was just no way I felt I could safely be out and about with all the kids. And anyway, newborns eat every 2-3 hours and those tiny little loves take their time so for the first few months as soon as one baby was done eating her sister was crying to eat – not exactly making it easy to leave the house.
Fast forward a year and we are hitting the beach, checking out the local museums, spending time at friends’ houses, taking weekend getaways, etc. So you new twin mamas – hang in there, it gets easier!
At the phase we are in now with 2 walking/learning-to-walk toddlers, one of our favorite products is the Pop N’ Play™ Ultimate Playard by Summer Infant. It’s super light, literally just pops open & is ready to go. The girls are happy to play in there and stay safe, clean, and contained so we can enjoy places I might not venture otherwise (pool, sports games, …)
I’ve mentioned it on my social media pages, and will eventually get around to making a full post about it, but 4 babies in 5 years took it toll on my poor abs so carrying the girls who are both 20+ lbs and/or lugging around heavy pack n plays has been a real struggle. The Pop N’ Play Playard is super light, both girls easily fit it in with room to play, walk around, etc. without feeling confined. You can see right through the mesh which definitely helps, and there is enough room that I can climb in or their brother & sister can go in and play too. The canopy is great for a little extra protection from the sun, and the whole thing folds into a carry bag that is compact enough to just keep in my trunk.
We use it in the backyard, at the beach, over Grandmas, at Andrew’s baseball games, in the waiting area while Brooke has dance class, at the pool, pretty much everywhere! Where do/would you use a Pop N’ Play Playard?
